Bayside Health is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist to join the Women and Families department. The role is fractional/part-time, focused on community care across Wonthaggi and Cowes campuses, with on-site responsibilities and on-call availability.

The ideal candidate will hold specialist registration with AHPRA, a fellowship or overseas qualification, and be committed to high-quality clinical governance, safety, and patient care.

Qualifications

• Police check current within 12 months of issue date.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Influenza vaccination for healthcare workers per DOH directions.
• Fetal Surveillance Education (FSEP) Level 3, Basic Neonatal Resuscitation, PROMPT,
• Fellowship or overseas trained specialist pathways in Obstetrics/Gynaecology.
• Commitment to risk management, clinical governance, safety and quality service.
• Available for on-call roster with on-site response within 20 minutes.

Mandatory Requirements

• A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
• Provision of valid Working with Children Check
• Provision of an NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
• (Fetal Surveillance Education (FSEP): Level 3 full course, Basic Neonatal Resuscitation, Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training (PROMPT),)
• Eligible for full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
• Fellowship of the relevant college, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
• A knowledge, understanding and commitment to the principles and practices of:
• risk management in accordance with BCH Risk Management framework;
• clinical governance; and safety,
• safe, quality customer service;
• workplace equity, and
• and a demonstrated ability to apply them in the workplace.
• Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a 20-minute timeframe.
