KPMG's indirect tax team is a market leading, dynamic, diverse team that currently works with some of the best clients and on the largest transactions in Australia. We help our clients better manage their indirect tax commitments and liabilities, improve cash flow, reduce overall risk profile, and strengthen their businesses. Due to exciting growth we are seeking consultant level talent based in Perth.

Our opportunity

Forming part of the Indirect Tax team within our Tax & Legal division, this role will play a key part in delivering advisory engagements for clients.

  • Execute and lead delivery of indirect tax and GST advisory and compliance engagements for diverse clients with a global reach.
  • Help develop indirect tax compliance solutions using data analytics and robotic process automation.
  • Resolve disputes and investigations with tax authorities.
  • Engage stakeholders to report on engagement outcomes, including delivery of consulting reports and facilitation of forums to discuss results.
  • Help grow our practice, develop strong relationships with clients and internal KPMG stakeholders, identify opportunities for future business and shape our future indirect tax offerings.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian GST at the senior consultant level, and ability to impactfully deliver your expertise to clients.
  • Deep knowledge of Indirect Tax, from advisory, compliance and technology through to audits and disputes, ideally having worked in a consulting firm environment.
  • An understanding of the indirect tax market including emerging trends across key markets and in tax technology, appropriate for a senior consultant role.
  • Experience in transaction/deal work would be highly valued.
