Job summary

Onterris Australia Pty Ltd seeks a Consultant Environmental Scientist to join the Melbourne-based Contaminated Land and Water team. You will plan and execute field investigations across soil, groundwater and surface water, and deliver clear reports to clients.

With 1–3 years of consulting experience, you’ll apply knowledge of VIC and national environmental frameworks, and support project managers while liaising with clients on site.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years consulting experience in contaminated land.
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or related discipline.
• Solid understanding of VIC and national environmental frameworks.
• Field capabilities with attention to technical detail.
• Open C class driver's licence valid in VIC.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver field investigations across soil, groundwater and surface water.
• Prepare clear, high-quality reports.
• Act as Onterris’ client contact on site.
• Attend business development meetings.
• Support project managers with field communications.

We are seeking a Consultant Environmental Scientist to join our growing Contaminated Land and Water team out of our growing Melbourne office. Have the opportunity to work alongside more than 50 land and water professionals across Australia who are actively invested in mentoring, collaboration and your long-term career development. This role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

• Planning and delivering field investigations across a variety of sites – including soil, groundwater, and surface water assessments
• Preparing clear and high-quality reports
• Acting as the representative/client contact on site for Onterris
• Attending business development meetings
• Supporting project managers and ensuring open and clear communications when in the field

Your Expertise and Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or related disciplines
• Solid understanding of VIC and national environmental frameworks

• Open C class drivers licence valid in VIC
