If you are a specialist seeking a role that balances clinical complexity with the enviable pace of coastal living, this is a unique opportunity to shape your practice in a high-impact regional environment. Working within a busy, well-supported Emergency Department, you will handle a broad spectrum of presentations—from acute resuscitation and trauma management to complex medical and surgical emergencies.

This role is designed for a clinician who values autonomy, enjoys high-acuity work, and is passionate about delivering exceptional emergency care to regional and rural communities.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Clinical Diversity & Scope: Experience the breadth of emergency medicine in a regional referral center where you will encounter a high volume of diverse cases, ensuring no two shifts are the same.
  • Senior Clinical Autonomy: Thrive in an environment that empowers you to exercise independent judgment. You will lead acute assessments and manage complex presentations with full senior-level authority.
  • Collaborative Practice: Engage with a strong, multidisciplinary team, including dedicated surgical, medical, and critical care units, to ensure seamless patient care pathways.
  • Service Impact: Play a pivotal role in the future of the hospital’s emergency service delivery, with genuine opportunities to contribute to clinical governance and departmental strategy.
  • The Coastal Lifestyle: Trade the city commute for a premium coastal lifestyle. Enjoy the perfect work-life balance with daily access to pristine beaches, renowned national parks, and a thriving local community.
Requirements:
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM), or recognized equivalent specialist qualifications.
  • Current Specialist registration with AHPRA, or full eligibility to obtain specialist registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex emergency presentations and providing senior-level clinical supervision.
