Job summary

NSW Health's North Shore Ryde Mental Health Service is seeking a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry to join the PECC and Consultation Liaison teams. Permanent part-time (up to 32 hours/wk) with on-call requirements. The role involves integrated assessments, leadership of multidisciplinary teams and contribution to teaching and quality improvement.

The successful candidate will hold MBBS or equivalent with FRANZCP or be eligible for registration, and participate in education across the District.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent and medical registration in Australia. FRANZCP or eligible for Specialist Psychiatrist registration.
• Demonstrates core values: Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
• Evidence of quality assurance, clinical practice in adult psychiatry, and involvement in education/research.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated assessment and treatment in PECC and Consultation Liaison services.
• Provide clinical leadership to multidisciplinary Mental Health teams in Emergency Department and PECC.
• Teach, supervise and contribute to research, evaluation and quality improvement within NSLHD.
