As a Construction Security Assurance Officer with WAIDT Services Security, you won't be standing at a boom gate checking passes. You'll be the trained eye that ensures a Construction Security Plan is actually being lived up to, day in and day out — spotting what shouldn't be there, verifying what should, and giving government and industry clients genuine confidence that their most sensitive builds stay secure from the ground up.

WAIDT Services Security (WSS) is a specialist provider of Construction Security Assurance Officers, delivering security oversight for high-security building and infrastructure projects across Australia. Our trained and security-cleared personnel support government and industry clients in ensuring compliance with Construction Security Plans (CSP) during the construction of sensitive facilities.

We are currently seeking Construction Security Assurance Officers to join our team in Canberra and Sydney. These roles are long term and available now.

About the role

As a Construction Security Assurance Officer with WAIDT Services Security (WSS), you will be the trained eye that ensures a Construction Security Plan is actually being lived up to, day in and day out — spotting what shouldn't be there, verifying what should, and giving government and industry clients genuine confidence that their most sensitive builds stay secure from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Construction Security Plans are being adhered to on a daily basis
• Spot security issues and unauthorised items on construction sites
• Verify that required security measures are in place
• Provide security oversight for high-security building and infrastructure projects
• Work across construction sites in all weather conditions
• Work a roster aligned with construction site hours, Monday to Saturday, for up to 10 hours per day
• Follow instructions and work independently
• Adhere to all relevant security protocols and procedures

About you

• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods across construction sites
• Comfortable working predominantly outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to work a roster aligned with construction site hours, Monday to Saturday, for up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality
• High standard of personal presentation
• Full Australian citizenship
• Must currently hold an NV2 Security Clearance (NV1 Security Clearances will be considered)
• Ability to hold an Organisational Suitability Assessment with the client
• Completion of industry courses:
• CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
