Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking a team of experienced roofers to join our construction crew on a large leisure project in the Somerset Region. The role covers installation of roofing and wall cladding on large steel-framed buildings, with a focus on safety, drawings, productivity and workmanship on site.

Responsibilities include edge protection, roof insulation, roof sheets, gutters and weatherproofing, plus working from drawings and coordinating with supervision and other trades.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial roofing/cladding.
• Construction White Card is required.
• Working at Heights certification is required.
• EWP licence/ticket is preferred.
• Experience with EWPs and working around structural steel is needed.
• Strong safety and quality focus is essential.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a team.
• Own basic hand tools and PPE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install temporary and permanent edge protection as required.
• Install roof safety mesh.
• Install roof insulation and blanket systems.
• Install metal roof sheets.
• Install external wall cladding/sheeting.
• Install gutters, flashings and downpipes.
• Complete associated roofing trims, penetrations and weatherproofing.
• Work from construction drawings and installation details.
• Coordinate with site supervision and other trades.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe work areas.
• Comply with site SWMS and daily pre-start requirements.
• Inspect completed work and rectify defects where required.
