Allens in Sydney seeks an Associate for its Projects team. You will work on construction and infrastructure matters, spanning litigious and non-litigious work, and engage in business development with clients and industry partners.

You will advise on proceedings, disputes, and contract issues, collaborating with a high-performing team and mentoring less experienced lawyers as you grow your career.

Qualifications

• Experience in front-end and back-end construction matters at an international or Australian firm.
• Ability to work independently and manage smaller matters within larger projects.
• A strong team ethic and willingness to mentor others.
• Interest in building client relationships and participating in business development.

Responsibilities

• Advise on proceedings and adjudication applications arising from construction projects.
• Handle claims and disputes during the contract phase of major projects.
• Prepare key project documents for infrastructure and energy projects.
• Participate in alternative dispute resolution processes including mediation.
