Job summary

Mygration Pty Ltd is seeking a Construction Project Manager on the Gold Coast to oversee commercial construction and infrastructure projects. Immediate start, full-time, with a salary range of AU$79,500–AU$90,000 plus superannuation.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate resources, ensure adherence to drawings, safety and regulatory standards, and manage procurement, tenders, and contractor relationships across education, health and government sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience reading architectural drawings, specifications and engineering documents.

Responsibilities

On behalf of our client, a leading Gold Coast-based contractor specializing in commercial construction and infrastructure services, we seek an experienced Construction Project Manager. Our client delivers complex projects across education, health, and government sectors, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and community outcomes. You will oversee all phases of project delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory standards.

Key Duties

• Lead cross-resource coordination, prioritizing personnel, equipment, and materials across concurrent projects to meet program milestones.
• Interpret and assess architectural drawings, specifications, and engineering designs, ensuring compliance with project scope and site conditions.
• Manage procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment, optimizing supply chains to avoid delays and control costs.
• Consult with architects, engineers, technical specialists, and trades to resolve design and construction challenges.
• Monitor overall project performance time, cost, quality, and risk while maintaining budget adherence and reporting to stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts, variations, and agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop tenders and contract bids, evaluating scope, risk, and profitability for new opportunities.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, legislation, and performance benchmarks on every site.
• Submit plans to local authorities, coordinate required inspections, and manage approvals and permits.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors and direct labour, tracking standards, progress, and delivery against program requirements.
• Manage change control processes, implementing project adjustments to meet strategic goals.
• Establish and maintain detailed project plans, aligning deliverables with broader program objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Construction Project Manager (or similar) in commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Thorough understanding of WHS legislation, building codes, and local authority compliance.
• Excellent leadership and resource management capabilities, including supervision of subcontractors.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
