Job summary

Hindmarsh is seeking a Construction Manager to lead and grow high-performing project teams across the ACT region. You will provide strategic oversight, mentor Project Managers, and drive outcomes that balance safety, quality, schedule, and budget for a diverse portfolio including commercial, industrial, education, health, and government sectors.

Reporting to the State Construction Manager, you will cultivate client relationships, navigate complex challenges, and contribute to ongoing capability

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale construction projects across diverse sectors.
• Proven track record leading Project Managers and high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets, forecasts, risk, and performance oversight.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, legislation, and delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic oversight across multiple projects and teams.
• Mentor Project Managers to drive commercial, operational, and client outcomes.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, programme, commercial, and stakeholder objectives.
• Identify and manage risks, opportunities, and delivery challenges across portfolios.
• Guide procurement, design management, contract administration, financial management, and project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client, consultant, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships.
• Review performance, budgets, forecasts, and reporting to keep projects on track.
