A regional council in Queensland is seeking a Construction / Maintenance Engineer to lead teams in delivering construction and maintenance programs for local roads. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. We are looking for a motivated individual who is solution focussed when it comes to building, maintaining and managing local roads. With your strong leadership skills, you will guide the team to consistently deliver excellent outcomes for our community and our team. You will also be responsible for the development of proactive and planned maintenance programs across the region, including but not limited to Council’s own road and stormwater networks, Council’s RMPC contract and DRFA programs when in effect.
Reporting to the Civil Works Manager, this position will have direct supervision and accountability of urban based teams delivering construction and maintenance programs. and provide essential guidance and oversight to the urban work groups.

This position has a strong technical element so you will be required to have appropriate skills and experience. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
