Job summary

City of Boroondara is seeking a Construction Management Enforcement Officer to join our expanding team. This full-time, ongoing role focuses on proactive inspections of building sites to ensure compliance with Local Laws, permits and relevant legislation, and to educate the community for voluntary compliance.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will investigate breaches, maintain records, and apply enforcement actions as required.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Government Compliance or equivalent experience.
• Experience in inspections, investigations and enforcement activities.
• Ability to interpret legislation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Undertake scheduled and proactive inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with Local Laws, permits and approved Construction Management Plans.
• Investigate breaches, gather evidence, maintain records and apply enforcement action as required.
• Respond to enquiries, manage cases, and liaise with internal teams and external authorities to support compliance outcomes.
