Opportunity

Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Concreter / Carpenter - Multiple Positions to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.

Reporting to the Urban Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs and the construction of Council's infrastructure and assets as required. Works undertaken in this role may be in a small team or work in conjunction with other Council teams to complete tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Construction and maintenance of concrete footpaths and driveways.
  • Construction and maintenance of stormwater pits, headwalls and inlets and laying of stormwater pipes.
  • Construction and maintenance of kerb and guttering.
  • Setting up general formwork, steel fixing, pouring and finishing concrete.
  • Maintain, repair and construct Council fences including man proof fences, security fences, brick fences, timber fences and gate.
  • Installation and repair of footpath paving.
  • Minor building maintenance eg. carpentry repairs, roofing repairs, cladding repairs.
  • Other works as directed by the Works Coordinator that are in the skills and training of the person in the position.
About you

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria :

  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Trade qualifications and / or relevant experience in concreting and / or Building and Construction Industry.
  • WHS Induction for General Construction Ticket (Whitecard)
  • Traffic Control Ticket (Stop / Slow)
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and completing general concrete works.
  • Commitment to Work Health and Safety
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principals of honesty and integrity

Salary and Benefits
  • Between $1,176.78 and $1,301.14 per week, commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience.
  • Permanent, Full-time, 38 hours per week.
