Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia seeks a Concrete Plant Manager for our Dandenong plant in Melbourne. You will lead the concrete operations, oversee daily management, safety, and financial activities within a strong team culture that values growth and recognition.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the role is permanent full-time with Monday–Friday hours and weekend work as needed. A competitive salary and fully maintained company vehicle, phone, laptop, and incentive program are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Solid knowledge of HSE/OHS policies and legislation.
• Proven project management skills with focus on safety, quality and cost control.
• Ability to multi-task and make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
• High resilience and adaptability to changing operational needs.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Be in the driver's seat, managing day-to-day operations and decisions impacting performance, budgets and costs.
• Build and maintain effective relationships through regular communications with stakeholders to align on customer service goals.
• Provide comprehensive operational management and support for all department activities, monitoring progress, performance and taking corrective actions.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among plant personnel.
• Lead and mentor plant personnel, providing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and performance.
