Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Concrete Field Tester at the Warabrook Laboratory to support projects across the Newcastle, Hunter & Central Coast region.

This permanent full-time role is entry-level with some weekend work, plus RDOs and overtime. You will perform field testing, calibrations, and laboratory operations while ensuring NATA requirements are met and supporting the technical team.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role seeking self-motivated individuals with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence (essential).
• Physically fit with a safety-driven mindset.
• Ability to read Standards and Specifications and apply procedures.
• Willing to obtain Construction White Card if not held.

Join Our Team as a Concrete Field Tester at Heidelberg Materials Australia! We’re excited to announce an opportunity for a Concrete Field Tester to join our team at the Warabrook Laboratory, serving the Newcastle, Hunter & Central Coast region.

What’s the role about?

You’ll play a crucial part in testing concrete in the field. This is an entry-level position, so we’re looking for self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you’re physically fit and have a strong work ethic, you’re just who we need!

• Have a current Australian Driver’s License (essential)
• Hold or are willing to obtain a valid Construction White Card

• Are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and motivated to achieve goals
• Have qualifications in Testing Operations and/or Laboratory Techniques (not essential)

• Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal)
• Are physically fit
