Job description

As a Concierge Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure and welcoming corporate environment. You will act as the first point of contact for employees, clients, and visitors, providing top-tier concierge services and ensuring a smooth, safe, and professional experience for everyone on site. This position combines professional security expertise with front‑of‑house responsibilities, including access control and supporting day‑to‑day site operations, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service.

We are currently recruiting for:

  • 1 Full‑Time Permanent role (Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700)
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional front‑of‑house experience, greeting and assisting all visitors, staff, and contractors courteously and professionally.
  • Manage visitor sign‑ins, access cards, and contractor permits using electronic access control systems.
  • Handle all front desk enquiries, calls, and coordination with facilities or building management.
  • Maintain lobby presentation standards, ensuring the area remains clean, organised, and professional.
  • Assist with mail and courier deliveries, ensuring secure handling and appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with site procedures.
  • Support site operations with room bookings, access requests, and administrative coordination as required.

Security & Safety Duties:

  • Monitor access points, CCTV, and alarm systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activity or potential threats.
  • Conduct regular patrols of internal and external areas, including car parks, loading bays, and restricted zones.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies (fire, medical, or security‑related) following site procedures.
  • Escort visitors and contractors in secure zones when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company and site security policies, including ID checks, pass issuance, and restricted access control.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports, daily logs, and handover notes.
  • Participate in emergency response drills, safety inspections, and compliance audits.
  • Identify and report hazards, maintenance issues, or security breaches promptly.
Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Current and valid WA Security Licence
  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Proficiency in security systems, including access control, CCTV, and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional presentation and strong understanding of corporate security protocols
  • Full working rights in Australia

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a corporate concierge or front‑of‑house security role
  • Experience using Gallagher Access Control and Genetec CCTV systems
  • Background in customer service, hospitality, or corporate facilities
  • Knowledge of emergency management and evacuation procedures
  • Understanding of workplace health, safety, and emergency response processes
Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a concierge or customer service role.
  • Proven ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills — able to communicate effectively with staff, executives, and visitors.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accurate reporting and procedural compliance.
  • Ability to work independently or within a professional team environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with rostered hours (may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends).
