Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Computer Engineering Expert — AI Content Specialist to help train and improve next-generation AI systems. You will design complex engineering challenges, author rigorous solutions, and audit AI outputs across architecture, embedded systems, and hardware-software co-design, shaping how AI reasons about demanding problems.

The role is remote and hourly, offering 10–40 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Holds or is pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus).
• Strong foundations in computer architecture, embedded systems, digital logic, or operating systems.
• Able to communicate complex hardware and low-level software concepts clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Design Advanced Problems — Create challenging computer engineering scenarios spanning RISC-V/ARM architecture, FPGA development, memory management, and hardware-software co-design.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions including assembly code, HDL snippets, and architectural diagrams that serve as reference responses for AI training.
• Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code (C/C++, Verilog, VHDL), logic gate designs, and OS kernels for technical accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.
• Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors such as race conditions, memory leaks, or improper timing constraints, and provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning.

Who You Are

• Holds or is pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus), or a closely related field
• Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems
• Able to communicate complex hardware and low-level software concepts clearly and concisely in writing
• High attention to detail — comfortable working at the level of bit operations, clock-cycle timing, and technical documentation
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
• Proficiency in engineering tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or simulation environments
• Familiarity with IoT, networking, distributed systems, or hardware security
