Independent Lives in Saint Leonards-on-Sea is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support a 29-year-old man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The role requires Sunday shifts, 09:00–17:30, on-site in St Leonards, with training provided.

Experience in complex care, personal support, and driving licence preferred. Responsibilities include personal care, PEG feeding, mobility support, administration, transport, companionship, and safeguarding privacy.

We urgently require one Personal Assistant to support a 29-year-old man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Set shifts needing cover:

Sunday – 09:00 to 17:30

Support includes personal care, PEG feeding, and tracheostomy care, including suctioning. He uses BiPAP and cough assist equipment. Accessing the community each day. All training will be provided; however, previous complex care experience is essential.

Applicants must be caring, reliable, and ideally over 25 with a clean driving licence. He loves formula 1 and racing sports. Great communication and a good laugh.
