Mercy Health is seeking a Casual Personal Care Assistant to support residents at Mercy Place Lathlain, WA. You will assist with daily personal care, mobility and nutrition, under nurse guidance, while maintaining a safe, respectful and caring environment.

You will bring compassionate, flexible, patient-focused care and work well in a supportive team, adapting to needs and priorities as they arise. A current Police Record Check is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills.
• Compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care.
• Ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and work in a team.
• Evidence of a current Police Record Check.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with daily personal care tasks including bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Help with mobility and safe use of mobility aids.
• Support residents with feeding, nutrition and hydration, including special diets.
• Assist with medication reminders under the guidance of a nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment with light housekeeping.
• Engage residents in activities promoting physical, emotional and cognitive well‑being.
• Respond to requests promptly and follow care plans set by nurses and healthcare staff.
• Respect residents' privacy and dignity and adhere to PPE and infection control protocols.
