Job summary

The Mount Hospital in Perth, WA is seeking a compassionate Assistant in Nursing to join our Acute Surgical team. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, support patient-centred care, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for our patients.

We welcome applicants with a Certificate III/IV in Community and Health Services / AIN training or current 2nd Year Student Nurse status. Prior AIN experience is desirable and communication within a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2nd Year Student Nurse or hold a Certificate III/IV in Community and Health Services /AIN training.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties.
• Work as part of the health care team and practice within the designated scope of practice parameters for AIN's.
• Assess patients' needs using therapeutic skills.
• Excellent ability to plan and prioritise the required workload.
