SA Health, through the Women’s and Children’s Health Network, is seeking a Midwife to deliver maternity care at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in North Adelaide. You will support women and families through pregnancy, birth and postnatal care in a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current practicing certificate where applicable.
• Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice.
• Knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care.

Responsabilités

• Assess individual patient/client needs, and plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery.
• Provide direct person-centred midwifery care and individual case management to patients.
• Provide health promotion and education.
• Review decisions, assessments, and recommendations from less experienced Midwives.
• Use foundation theoretical knowledge and evidenced based guidelines to achieve positive patient care outcomes.
