Job summary

Homewell in Melbourne’s Caulfield area is seeking an experienced support worker to join our growing care team. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help ensure they feel safe, heard and respected in a person-centered environment.

The role requires a Cert III or IV in Aged Care or Disability, CPR/First Aid, and a Working with Children Check. We offer flexible shifts, part-time and casual contracts, and a supportive team in a local community setting.

Qualifications

• Cert III or IV in Aged Care or Disability is required.
• Medication training is desirable.
• Experience with complex care in disability.
• Understanding of professional boundaries within the support work scope.
• Working with Children Check is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• Own reliable transport with comprehensive insurance and a Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients/participants with daily living activities including personal care.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Ensure clients feel safe, heard and respected.
• Involve clients in decisions about food, routines and supports.
• Provide transport and community access; prep for appointments or activities.
• Provide domestic assistance as needed.
