Danila Dilba Health Service in Darwin seeks an experienced General Practitioner to join Saturday clinics, delivering culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, prioritise equity, and mentor GP registrars; you must hold AHPRA registration and RACGP/ACRRM fellowship. Knowledge of Communicare and Medicare programs is desirable.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a General Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• High standard of written and computer literacy.
• Desirable: experience in Indigenous or NT primary health care.
• Desirable: supervisory experience with GP registrars.
• Desirable: Familiarity with Communicare.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Medicare and Practice Incentive Programs.
• Desirable: Understanding of Aboriginal Health Worker career structures.

Responsabilités

• You’ll provide culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to clients attending Saturday clinics.
• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of best-practice services that reflect DDHS’s commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• You will support equity in healthcare within a cross-cultural environment.
