Job summary

Healthscope Independence Services (HIS) is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality care in SDA apartments under the NDIS. You will support clients with daily living, personal care, and community activities, helping them live independently.

We value compassion, teamwork and learning, with shifts across the day and opportunities for training. Applicants must have Certificate IV in Disability and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in disability or healthcare services.
• Strong communication, written, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shift types.
• Be comfortable caring for pets / have no pet allergies.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist participants with daily living activities in meal preparation and feeding.
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, etc.
• Accompany clients in community-based activities, such as social outings, appointments, and recreational pursuits.
• Ensure all documentation (daily notes, communication and progress reports) is thorough and up to date.
• Experience with behaviours of concern.
• Adhere to policies including medication administration, WHS, privacy and confidentiality.
• Work within a team environment.
