Sirv is recruiting Disability Support Specialists to assist people in their own homes across Newcastle and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes real, one-on-one support, fostering trust and independence.

Shifts vary to suit different lives, with training provided for high-intensity supports. A driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are preferred. If you’re caring, reliable and comfortable working in someone’s home, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Kind, patient and reliable with a good sense of humour.
• Ability to work independently in a client’s home.
• Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required.
• Willing to obtain NDIS clearance and Working With Children Check.
• First Aid and CPR readiness or certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care and meals.
• Support routines, activities and skill-building for children and adults.
• Help clients stay independent at home and in the community.
• Maintain safety, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
