Job summary

HammondCare’s Independent Living Units in Miranda, NSW are seeking a part-time Transport Driver (3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). You will drive residents to appointments, shopping and outings, while providing friendly, patient and compassionate service. The role requires safe driving and good record-keeping and teamwork with the care staff.

Applicants should hold a NSW Class C licence with a safe driving history; LR licence is desirable. Senior First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Driver’s Licence (Class C-Car) with a safe driving record.
• L.R. licence desirable.
• Senior First Aid Certificate desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of empathy, compassion and patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide driving transport to residents for appointments, shopping and outings.
• Foster harmony and friendship with residents and staff.
• Assist transfers while following safe work practices.
• Maintain records of transport journeys and document trips.
• Ensure vehicle is maintained and clean.
