Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our Residential Care team in Malabar. You will deliver high-quality cleaning services to create a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

With 2+ years cleaning or laundry experience, you will follow safe work practices, maintain cleaning records and support infection control. ND​IS screening is required; you will work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of previous cleaning experience or laundry experience
• 1-2 years in following safe work practices
• NDIS Worker screening check (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Complete daily cleaning duties across resident rooms, common areas and facilities
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection prevention
• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed efficiently and consistently
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock requirements when needed
• Contribute to residents' wellbeing through positive and caring interactions
• Support a welcoming and comfortable environment for all residents
• Maintain accurate cleaning records where required
• Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, used safely and stored correctly
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices
• Report hazards, incidents and risks in accordance with organisational procedures
