Job summary

UPA is seeking a Care Service Employee for Myoora Hostel in the Riverina Murray Region. You will support residents with a wide range of person-centred care duties and assist with daily living activities.

Applicants should have a Cert III in Aged Care or be working towards it, with a passion for empowering residents. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential; first aid is desirable. Training and support are provided, with opportunities to grow within our not-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or (working towards)
• Ability to provide a wide range of person-centred care duties
• Desire to empower residents to continue activities they love
• Care skills driven by compassion
• Experience in Aged Care desirable
• Current First Aid Certificate desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player who is highly motivated
• Availability to work various shifts across various days

Responsibilities

• Provision of a wide range of Person-Centred Care duties
• Assistance with medication (if you are assessed as medication competent) and wound dressing
• Assistance in daily living activities
• Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love
