The Salvation Army is seeking a casual Community Worker – Christmas Cheer to provide person-centred care to community members in financial crisis or hardship, using trauma-informed, strength-based, and holistic approaches. This role is located in Raymond Terrace, NSW, with salary and conditions in accordance with the SCHADS Level 3 Award.

The Role

You will be a values-driven individual delivering case work to help community members achieve their goals through partnerships and collaboration. You will also:

• Manage the Christmas Cheer Response in the local area
• Provide a point of connection with the local PR team and Corps
• Encourage, motivate, and assist Corps and Community Members to participate in social and physical activities within the program
• Manage all volunteers and staff based in the Christmas Cheer Program
• Apply asset-based community development (ABCD) strategies to implement community initiatives
• Work in partnership with the local community to support neighbourhood and family development
• Develop networks to facilitate local participation and access to facilities and services

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• CERT IV - Community Services
• Driver licence
