Right at Home (Australia) is hiring Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide non-medical in-home care and support to seniors and adults with disabilities in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, companionship, and promoting independence within clients' homes.

You will work under tailored care plans, follow infection control protocols, and report changes to the care team. Travel within the community and own vehicle may be required.

Competenze

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• First Aid and CPR Certification required
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) preferred

At Right at Home, we provide high-quality in-home care and assistance to seniors and adults with disabilities, helping them live independently and comfortably in their own homes. We are a team of compassionate professionals dedicated to making a difference—every day.

Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team and provide non-medical care and support to clients in their homes throughout the community. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve by assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and promoting independence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Provide light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up living areas
• Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences
• Support clients with medication reminders
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Assist with errands and transportation to appointments as needed (if applicable)
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the care team or supervisor
• Follow individualised care plans and organisational policies at all times
• Promote client safety, wellbeing, and infection control practices
• Work independently while following scheduled care visits and timeframes
• Support clients with community access, including safe transport and accompaniment to appointments, social activities, and outings using own vehicle where required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Certificate iii in individual support and gaed care
• Previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field preferred.
• Cert iii in individual support or equivalent
• Working with children check
• Current First aid and CPR
