Job summary

Feros Care is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Home Care Assistant to support older adults in their own homes across the Coffs Harbour region. You will provide compassionate personal care, meal prep, mobility support, and domestic assistance, travelling within a 45-60 minute radius.

Role offers 20-40 hours per fortnight with potential for more hours after probation. National Police Check and work rights in Australia required.

Qualifications

• Experience in community home care supporting older adults to maintain independence and quality of life.
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (with transcripts) and a current First Aid certificate.
• Valid driver’s license with an insured vehicle and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support older people in their homes with personal care, meals, mobility and everyday tasks.
• Provide domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping.
• Travel across the Coffs Harbour region with travel reimbursement per kilometre.

• Spend your day supporting older people in the homes they love, providing personal care, meal preparation, mobility and everyday assistance while creating meaningful connections that enhance wellbeing and independence
• Create safe and welcoming homes, providing domestic assistance including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, linen changes, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and general household tidying
• Enjoy the variety and flexibility of a mobile role, travelling across stunning Coffs Harbour region and surrounding suburbs, with $1.01 travel reimbursement for every kilometre travelled

What You Bring

• Experience in community home care, supporting older adults to maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life through compassionate, person-centred assistance in their own homes
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent (with transcripts), along with a current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
• A valid driver's licence, reliable and insured vehicle, and a willingness to travel up to 45-60 minutes to provide meaningful support to clients across your local community
• COVID-19 vaccination (highly desirable)

What You Need to Know

• Permanent Part-Time position offering guaranteed 20-40 hours per fortnight, with potential for additional hours after probation.
• Enjoy flexible working hours, with services delivered Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm
• Successful applicants must complete a National Police Check and provide proof of work rights in Australia
