Job summary

LifeFlight Australia in Robina on the Gold Coast is seeking a Community Relations Manager to strengthen connections with regional communities and stakeholders.

You'll coordinate Regional Advisory Committee and Wings of LifeFlight Delegate programs, plan the annual Community Forum, and travel regularly with a provided company vehicle to meet with community leaders and deliver engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, relationship management or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior community leaders and influential stakeholders.
• Experience developing and implementing stakeholder or community engagement strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to balance stakeholder expectations with organisational priorities.
• Strong organisation, follow-through, judgement, discretion and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to undertake regular regional travel, including overnight stays.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree is desirable.

About the Role

As Community Relations Manager, you’ll play an important role in strengthening LifeFlight’s relationships with the communities we serve. Based at our Robina location, you’ll coordinate our Regional Advisory Committee and Wings of LifeFlight Delegate programs, building trusted relationships with community leaders and creating opportunities for them to connect with, provide feedback to and support LifeFlight.

This is a relationship-focused role, helping to connect LifeFlight with the communities we serve across the region. You’ll listen to community feedback, understand local priorities and opportunities, and share these insights with the relevant teams across LifeFlight to help support our community engagement activities.

You’ll also be responsible for coordinating the planning and delivery of our annual Community Forum, bringing together community leaders, LifeFlight stakeholders and representatives to strengthen connections, share information and encourage meaningful two-way engagement.

The role is full-time and based at Robina, with regular travel to local and regional communities for meetings, events and stakeholder engagement. A company vehicle is provided to support this travel, with occasional after-hours events and overnight stays as required.

About You

You’re a confident and genuine relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people, understanding different perspectives and developing trusted partnerships. You’ll bring experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, relationship management or a similar field, with the ability to think strategically while staying connected to the detail.

You’ll be comfortable engaging with senior community leaders, local representatives and a diverse range of stakeholders, with the communication and facilitation skills to bring people together around shared objectives. You’ll also be able to balance community expectations with organisational priorities, navigating competing needs with sound judgement, discretion and a constructive approach.

Highly organised, proactive and reliable, you’ll follow through on commitments and work confidently both independently and collaboratively. You’ll also enjoy being out in the community, with regular regional travel an important part of building and maintaining strong relationships.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
