Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Illawarra region, covering North and South Wollongong. You will manage an allocated caseload and provide evidence-based therapies to enhance independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
• Commitment to community-based support for people with disability
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
