Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Gunnedah region. You will manage an allocated caseload, assess development, cognition, emotion and physical function, and translate findings into practical treatment goals with evidence‑based interventions.

You’ll work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with flexible hours and a path for professional development, supervision from senior clinicians, and access to office, clinic spaces and home

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA.
• Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services.
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals.
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.
