Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support community aged care clients across the Sunshine Coast/Wide Bay region. You will manage referrals, assess functional capacity, and provide interventions to improve independence and quality of life.

The role requires registration with AHPRA, a degree in Occupational Therapy, current First Aid/CPR and a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Certificate.
• Current Drivers Licence with own reliable vehicle.
• Registration with AHPRA.
• First Aid and CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals for Occupational Therapy services.
• Assess clients’ functional capacity and ADLs, including home environment assessments.
• Provide OT input to improve independence and quality of life.
• Recommend assistive technology and home modifications as needed.
• Educate clients on energy conservation, falls prevention and stress management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximise client outcomes.
• Contribute to care plans addressing personal ADLs and safety concerns.
• Ensure OT services reflect best practice and evidence-based care.
