Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking Healthcare Support Workers to deliver person-centred care in the Helensburgh and Lomond community. The role supports reablement and nursing services, helping patients stay independent at home and manage daily activities.

Applicants should have excellent communication, teamwork, adaptability and good IT skills, with a full UK driving licence and access to a car. Weekend and evening work are required. This is a fixed-term post until February 2027.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Health and Social Care is beneficial but not essential due to training and support.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork, adaptability and time-management are required.
• Good IT skills are also required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily, person-centred care to the community in Helensburgh and Lomond.
• Work within Reablement and Nursing Services to support independence at home.
• Enable patients to remain at home and manage daily activities; assist with end-of-life care where needed.
