Qualifications

  • Current and recognised swim teaching qualification is required.
  • Candidate should have a genuine passion for swimming and helping others build confidence in the water.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across ages and backgrounds are essential.
  • Patience, empathy and an encouraging teaching style are important.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • A valid Working with Children Check or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, safe, inclusive swim lessons tailored to each learner.
  • Create a welcoming, supportive environment where participants feel valued.
  • Monitor swimmer progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure safety and wellbeing of all participants at all times.
