Job summary

Corangamite Shire in Camperdown, Victoria, is seeking an Emergency Management Officer for a fixed-term, full-time role up to 12 months. The position coordinates planning and review of council emergency management responsibilities in partnership with agencies and community organisations.

The successful candidate will support community-led planning for emergencies and work with internal Council teams to ensure effective emergency management functions.

Qualifications

• Desirable tertiary qualification in EM or Community Development, or demonstrated capacity.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders to deliver goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for reports and proposals.
• Experience in community development, education and awareness programs.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence and checks, or ability to obtain.
• Construction Induction Card and Traffic Management Ticket, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, implementation and review of emergency management duties.
• Partner with agencies and community organisations to deliver programs.
• Support community-led planning for emergencies within the municipality.
