Job summary

headspace Roma is seeking a Community Awareness and Engagement Officer to lead initiatives that raise awareness of programs and promote early help-seeking among young people. You will design and deliver community engagement strategies, coordinate health promotion activities, and support youth and family involvement.

You’ll build partnerships with schools and local services, represent the service at events, and help develop an annual calendar of activities to sustain community engagement and

Qualifications

• Experience in Health Promotion or Public Health or Community Development.
• Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating community engagement initiatives.
• Ability to give young people a voice and create opportunities for them to be heard.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Community Awareness Strategy (with Centre Manager).
• Plan and coordinate headspace events and campaigns.
• Assist with creating communication materials and content.
• Develop and maintain relationships with schools, community groups and health services.
• Represent headspace Roma at community events; contribute to an annual engagement calendar.
