Job summary

Everi Pty in Cairns, Far North Queensland, is seeking a Communications Officer to support the Director and team with administrative and communications tasks. You will build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and help deliver consistent messaging.

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver a high level of communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Have efficient multi-tasking skills and a good ability to consistently priortise tasks.
• Provide administrative support, including multiple inbox and diary management, to the Director and team as well as other tasks as required.
• Work in partnership with other areas of the health service to achieve corporate communication objectives and consistency of messaging.
• Undertake internal communications activities including staff bulletins and producing staff newsletters.
• This position may, at a future stage and subject to consultation, be rostered for selected on-call hours, including after hours, weekends and public holidays.

About the Candidate

You are invited to join a dynamic team within the Communications and Engagement Services as a Communications Officer. In this role you will bring strong written and verbal communication skills which will enable you to build a solid understanding of the workings of communication that will enable you to build positive relationships with your team members and clients. You will use your organisational and interpersonal skills to provide administrative and communications support in a range of community and engagement activities.
