Minor Hotels is expanding its housekeeping team in Brisbane with full time, part time and casual opportunities across CBD properties. We are seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining all guest areas, meeting daily targets, and following safety and environmental standards. Training will be provided for equipment and chemicals, with flexible shifts Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong eye for detail and cleanliness.
• Basic knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks (bending, lifting, standing).
• Clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends/public holidays.

Job Description

Minor Hotels is excited to expand our Housekeeping Department, with multiple Full Time, Part Time and Casual opportunities now available across our properties in Brisbane CBD.

About the Role

• Cleaning and maintaining all common guest areas to the highest standards, ensuring all areas are always hygienic and visually appealing.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members and guests to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject to change)

• Monday to Sunday
• Flexible shifts

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)

• Monday – Friday: $24.95 ($31.19 casual)
• Saturday: $31.19 per hour ($37.43 casual)
• Sunday: $37.43 per hour (43.66 casual)

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
