Job summary

Siemens in Sydney seeks a Building Automation Technician to join our team. You will contribute to commissioning of BMS and HVAC systems, interact with customers, and work across project scopes with our digital service center.

Experience is preferred but not essential; the role involves field work, design interpretation, and collaboration with subcontractors to maximise system performance and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• HVAC fundamentals and building automation knowledge.
• Experience with Building Automation systems is desirable.
• Proficiency with computers, networks and software (e.g. Microsoft).
• Experience with Building Automation/PLC/Process software programming.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer engagement and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Review design specifications, drawings and schedules.
• Prepare/Review BMS scope review documents.
• Interpret BMS engineering and commissioning.
• Engage subcontractors and vendors.
• Material procurement.
• Ongoing project reporting.
• Deliver the relevant system, network and server upgrades.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a keen & self-motivated Building Automation Technician that's looking to develop themselves & try new things. Experience is preferred but not essential. Tasks will include conducting project commissioning as well as working in with our digital service center to maximize the investments of our customers, and preventative maintenance when required.

Commissioning Techs will work across several modalities in a team and solo capacity to

• Review design specifications, drawings, schedules
• Prepare/Review BMS scope review documents
• Interpret BMS engineering and commissioning
• Engage Subcontractors and vendors
• Material procurement
• Ongoing Project Reporting
• Deliver the relevant system, network and server upgrades
• Detail commissioning activities and reports

In order to be considered for this opportunity, the successful candidate will possess the following:

• Experience with HVAC fundamentals and systems (Siemens systems desirable)
• Knowledge and experience Building Automation systems (Siemens systems desirable)
• Proficiency with computers, networks and 3rd party software ( i.e. Microsoft )
• Experience with Building Automation / PLC / Process software programming
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• The ability to demonstrate strong customer engagement and relationship skills
• Electrical Licence (Open or Restricted)

You will enjoy working in a solid team environment and you will have work experience in service, maintenance and or installation of HVAC systems and/or controls.
