Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer – Communication and Networking to join the Central-West Orana Transmission project. You will lead testing, commissioning, and integration of substation communication systems across high-voltage assets, ensuring cybersecurity, redundancy, and reliable data exchange with EMS/SCADA environments.

The role requires 5–10 years in commissioning, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and proven expertise with IEC 61850 and digital

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Extensive commissioning experience in EHV substations (220 kV and above).
Experience with EMS/SCADA integration and substation networks.

Responsibilities

Commission and troubleshoot 500 kV substations’ communication and control networks.
Verify fibre optic installation and configuration for transmission assets.
Perform end-to-end testing of links between substations and control centres.
Coordinate with multi-vendor IEDs for SAS integration and interoperability testing.
Validate cybersecurity requirements and network redundancy schemes before energisation.
