Auto & General Australia is hiring a Commercial and Supply Data Analyst within the Motor Supply Team. You will translate multi-source datasets into clear narratives to support strategic initiatives and performance targets across the repair ecosystem.

You’ll apply claims knowledge and customer-behaviour insights to influence decision making, drive efficiency, and improve outcomes for customers, partners, and the network.

Qualifications

• Significant insurance/claims industry experience preferred.
• Ability to transform large, disparate datasets into clear insights for decision makers.
• Strong communication skills to present complex concepts to senior stakeholders.

Your core focus will be supporting decision makers to understand and execute against strategic initiatives, financial plans and performance targets — bringing a deep understanding of the repair ecosystem, claims methodologies and customer behaviour to everything you do. You will harness data from disparate systems and translate complex, multi-source datasets into clear narratives and readily consumable insights that drive meaningful commercial outcomes. With a sharp analytical mind and a talent for storytelling, you'll surface what matters most and influence strategy at every level of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment between financial plans, performance targets and operational outcomes.
• Apply deep knowledge of the repair ecosystem and claims methodologies to identify opportunities that improve network performance and customer outcomes.
• Utilise your understanding of customer behaviour science to frame insights in ways that are easy to understand and hard to ignore.
• Influence process enhancements and operational controls to ensure consistently high-quality outcomes are achieved.
• Support the delivery of re-engineering programs that develop a cost-effective, high-performing repair service platform.
• Contribute to supplier management and assessing strategies in consultation with relevant internal stakeholders.
• Provide analytical and commercial support to project teams and senior leaders throughout the planning and execution lifecycle.

What Experience You’ll Bring

• Claims and/or significant insurance industry experience preferred.
• Significant experience utilising large, disparate datasets to surface insights and make recommendations.
• Demonstrated advanced experience with software packages including Power BI, Excel, Audatex and related tools to harness data for decision making.
• Strong understanding of the motor repair ecosystem, including repairer network dynamics, cost control methodologies and claims workflows.
• A track record of translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success delivering operational efficiency and business process improvement initiatives.
• Superior communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts in accessible, actionable terms.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment with competing priorities.
