Job summary

The Hassett Group on behalf of a client seeks a seasoned Commercial Manager to lead day‑to‑day commercial delivery on a $1B+ Melbourne data centre program from day one. You will establish and grow a standalone commercial services stream with full P&L ownership, build a team and drive growth across major infrastructure projects nationally.

This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic oversight and strong contract administration capabilities to ensure project success and client

Qualifications

• 10+ years commercial management experience.
• Major infrastructure project experience.
• Strong FIDIC and/or AS 4000 knowledge.
• Claims, variations and contract administration expertise.
• Strong programme and commercial risk capability.
• Leadership experience with P&L ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day commercial and contract administration.
• Assess variations, EOTs and contractor claims.
• Manage payment certification and commercial risk.
• Advise clients on FIDIC and AS 4000 contracts.
• Build and lead the commercial services team.
• Own the stream’s P&L and growth strategy.

They provide project, construction, engineering, planning and commercial services across major infrastructure programs. The business is growing its client-side advisory capability and establishing commercial services as a standalone growth stream.
