About the position
You will be responsible for managing a diverse litigation caseload, working directly with clients, and handling matters from end-to-end. The role will expose you to a variety of complex commercial disputes, including :
- Contractual disputes
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Building and construction litigation, including Security of Payment Act matters
- Insolvency and restructuring-related disputes
- Debt recovery and enforcement proceedings
- Proceedings before various courts and tribunals, including the NSW Supreme Court and NCAT
You will have the opportunity to run files independently, brief counsel, and provide commercially astute legal advice across various jurisdictions.
Requirements
- 4 years + PAE Commercial Litigation
- Commercial nous and confidence in building solid relationships with clients to gain an intricate understanding of their business’ needs
- Excellent technical, analytical, communication and research skills to contribute to the delivery of commercially astute advice
- A strong attention to detail (including preparation of evidence, court documents and advice to client) is critical, and experience with civil procedure rules (especially in the Federal and NSW courts)
