Job summary

LegalVision is a modern commercial law firm offering fixed-fee membership and scalable, on-demand legal support for SMEs and in-house teams. We are expanding our Commercial team with mid-level lawyers to service large national and multinational clients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will work with leading in-house teams, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, and advising on governance and regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practise in Australia with 2–4 years' post-qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house.
• Experience drafting and reviewing a broad range of commercial agreements is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain trusted relationships with sophisticated clients.
• Practical, solutions-focused mindset with commercial acumen.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Act as an extension of clients' in-house legal teams and provide high-quality commercial legal advice.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (supply, distribution, services, sponsorship, licensing).
• Advise on general commercial matters, governance and regulatory issues (Australian Consumer Law, Privacy Law).
• Manage multiple client matters simultaneously and adapt to different working styles.
• Share expertise by writing articles, running webinars, and participating in training.

The Opportunity

Due to the ever-increasing number of large national and multinational clients we support through our highly-regarded legal membership solution, we are recruiting mid-level lawyers to join our Commercial team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with leading in-house legal teams and Australia's biggest companies, acting as a trusted legal advisor while gaining deep exposure to complex, high-volume commercial work at scale.

Our legal membership provides large enterprises and corporate clients with flexible, on-demand legal support that integrates directly with their in-house legal function. Rather than engaging external lawyers on a transactional or hourly rate basis, clients gain access to dedicated LegalVision lawyers who assist with their business-as-usual legal needs. This allows in-house legal teams to scale efficiently, manage workflow peaks, and access specialist expertise without having to hire.

As a Lawyer in our team, you will work with your seniors to deliver technically excellent, efficient, and pragmatic legal support across a broad range of commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an extension of clients' in-house legal teams, providing high-quality, responsive and practical commercial legal advice.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, services, sponsorship and licensing agreements.
• Advise on general commercial matters, corporate governance and regulatory compliance issues, including Australian Consumer Law and Privacy Law.
• Manage multiple client matters simultaneously, adapting to different business cultures and working styles.
• Share your expertise through writing articles for our website, running webinars, and participating in internal training sessions.

The Ideal Candidate

• Admitted to practise in Australia with 2-4 years' post-qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing a broad range of commercial agreements. Additional experience advising on general commercial and regulatory matters across diverse industries is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with highly sophisticated clients.
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial acumen.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a high-performing team.
