Electrical Data Voice PTY LTD in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking Commercial Fitout Electrical Apprentices to work with experienced electricians on commercial fitout projects, building hands-on skills toward a NSW Electrical Licence.

The 2026/27 intake targets new 1st Year Apprentices, with day release for study and on-the-job mentoring. The program offers structured progression, PPE, travel allowance, and a clear path to trade qualification within a growing Sydney business.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in an electrical career and willingness to learn.
• Current construction induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain before starting.
• Completion of a pre-apprenticeship or Certificate II in Electrotechnology is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced electricians with installation, testing and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Gain exposure to diverse electrical disciplines within commercial fitouts.
• Work with CAT6/CAT6A, fibre optics networks and lighting control systems (Cbus, Dynalite, KNX).
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Operate a range of electrical tools safely on site.
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving on projects.
• Follow safety policies and contribute to team outcomes.
• Registered as a 4-year apprenticeship with an RTO and TAFE; day release for study.
• On-job mentoring from licensed tradespeople.

About the role

We're looking for driven, hands-on individuals to join our team as Commercial Fitout Electrical Apprentices. EDV's 2026/27 intake targets new 1st Year Apprentices, and we're also open to apprentices currently working in the industry. You'll work alongside experienced electricians on commercial fitout projects across Sydney, building real, on-the-tools skills toward your Certificate III in Electrotechnology.

What you'll be doing

• Assist experienced electricians with installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial fitout industry
• Gain exposure to a wide range of disciplines within the electrical industry - no doing the same task for months or years at a time.
• Electrical, Communications infrastructure CAT6, CAT6A + fibre optics networks and Lighting Control System (Cbus, Dynalite and KNX systems)
• Work on projects on the cutting edge of design and technology.
• Learn to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
• Safely operate a range of electrical tools and equipment
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving on site
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Contribute to project and team outcomes
• Registered as a 4-year apprenticeship with a RTO and TAFE
• Study structure is day release / one day per week, with paid study time
• Ongoing on-job mentoring from highly skilled licensed tradespeople
