Job summary

Human Resources Focus is seeking a qualified carpenter for general carpentry duties on commercial construction projects. The role includes installing and hanging doors (including fire-rated types), reading plans and specifications, and measuring, cutting, and fitting building materials to high standards.

You will work closely with site supervisors, other trades and clients, with travel to Sydney projects across North and South Coast regions as required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Carpenter with demonstrated carpentry experience.
• Experience in commercial construction projects.
• Door hanging experience preferred but training can be provided.
• Current White Card required.
• Own tools and reliable transport & driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry duties across commercial projects.
• Install and hang doors, including fire-rated doors; training available.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Measure, cut and install building materials.
• Maintain high-quality work in line with safety requirements.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, trades and clients.
• Travel to project locations around Sydney, North Coast and South Coast as needed.
