Job summary

Koo Wee Rup Primary School is seeking an Education Support Class staff member with a flexible time fraction to support students under supervision and work with teachers and the school community.

The role involves coordinating support tasks, assisting teachers, supervision of students in controlled settings, and contributing to planning and delivering educational programs in line with school policy. Experience in a team environment and strong communication are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting.
• Provides supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting.
• Coordinates and supports the work of education support staff under supervision.
